JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Tea Party commemorated their five year anniversary Thursday at the State Capitol.
“This day five years ago. I had 13 people walking with me around the State Capitol. We were informed, it is just concerned citizens that came together. We saw a post on the web, and I thought I was going to be the only one,” said Mississippi Tea Party Executive Director Julia Hodges. “Today we have members all across the state.”
Hodges says the Mississippi Tea Party will to continue to advocate for small government, free market solutions, and spending tax dollars wisely.
