RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas. – A woman from Pascagoula who was supposed have trial Monday was arrested in South Texas near the Texas-Mexico border during a traffic stop Friday. Krystal Dawn Kersey is accused of running over her husband of two months, 24-year-old Justin Stork, down with a car and killing him last year in Jackson County. Kersey had been free on a $100,000 bond since November 2013.
During the traffic stop Kersey had her 3-year-old and 18-month-old in the car with her. They have been placed into temporary care in Texas.
Kersey is being held behind bars in Rio Grande City, waiting to be extradited back to Mississippi.
