VICKSBURG, Miss. — Preliminary competitions for the Miss Mississippi Pageant are well underway. Three groups of contestants are selected and each group does a different competition each night.
So far, Miss Heartland, Breanne Ponder and Miss Amory Railroad Festival, Chelsea Rick won the swimsuit competitions. The talent winners were Miss Leaf River Valley, Jordin Johnson who performed a Rhythmic dance and Miss University of Southern Mississippi, Hannah Roberts with a violin performance.
On Saturday at 8pm the group of contestants will be narrowed down to 10 semifinalists, then a top five before the new Miss Mississippi is Chosen.
