COPIAH COUNTY, Miss.- Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly car accident in Copiah County Tuesday morning.
The wreck was reported about 5 a.m. on Highway 28 in Copiah County near the Jefferson County line.
A Ford truck ran off the road, hit a tree and caught fire, troopers said. The driver was killed in the crash.
Emergency crews and the county coroner were at the scene Tuesday morning.
The body was taken to the state crime lab, where an autopsy will be performed, authorities said.
