A Mexican national has been arrested for allegedly raping a 10-year-old boy in Pontotoc.
The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office reports that Filiberto Gonzalez, 34, was taken into custody on Monday at his home on Laura Lane. He was charged with two counts of rape of a child after a search warrant was executed at the residence.
Gonzalez, who is reported to have entered the U.S. illegally, is housed in the Pontotoc County Adult Detention Center and awaits a justice court hearing.
