A Lauderdale County man faces charges for the murder of his wife.

Sheriff William Sollie confirmed that deputies were sent to the home on Brown Hooke Road on Friday night after a domestic disturbance call was placed. When officers arrived, they found 34-year-old Marsha Pace unresponsive. It appeared to officers that she had been shot, and an ambulance was called to the scene.

She was taken to a local hospital where she later died. Further investigation led to the arrest of Marsha’s husband, 31-year-old Truitt Thomas Pace. Truitt was taken into custody, and he was charged with second-degree murder.

His bond was set at $100,000, and he is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Adult Detention.

An autopsy has been ordered, and the case remains under investigation. No motive for the murder is known at this time.

A child was also at the home at the time of the shooting, but was not injured.
