JACKSON, Miss. — Jackson, the Magnolia state’s capital city, has been ranked the Nation’s laziest city by Men’s Health Magazine. One hundred cities were listed in order of the supposed activity level of its residents. Jackson was last place.
Jeffrey Hallam, director for the University of Mississippi Center for Health Behavior Research told Men’s Health that the reason for laziness could be the heat, the humidity, or the culture. Mississippi is also notoriously listed as one of the most obese states in the country, which may have made city an easy target.
