With Hurricane Hanna’s outer fringes look to be heading towards the Magnolia State, Mississippi Emergency Management Agency Executive Director Greg Michel joined The JT Show to provide an update on what’s been a very busy hurricane season.
“What’s concerning about this season is over half the storms that are predicted this year are expected to end up in the Gulf of Mexico,” Michel said. “That’s not where we want them to be.”
The 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season has been one with an abnormally high amount of activity as named storms are starting to seem like a weekly occurrence. Currently, there are four named storms—Hanna, Gonzalo, and Douglas—projected to reach the United States.
