The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency has launched a new and improved website to keep people in the Magnolia State informed about incoming natural disasters and provide information on how to prepare for inclement weather conditions.
The updated site, per MEMA officials, offers a modern design, improved functionality, and a user-friendly experience tailored for Mississippi residents and visitors.
“Our goal with the new website is to provide the right information to the right people at the right time. Mississippi experiences severe weather year-round, and we want everyone to easily find the potentially life-saving information they are looking for,” MEMA executive director Stephen McCraney said. “We’ve made enhancements that prioritize accessibility, speed, and ease of use, ensuring every Mississippian can access information easily and efficiently.”
- Enhanced Navigation – A streamlined menu and intuitive layout make it easier for users to find the information they need.
- Mobile Optimization – Fully responsive design ensures seamless browsing across all devices.
- Accessibility for All – Designed and developed to be accessible to people with disabilities and non-English speaking residents.
MEMA partnered with Tyler Technologies to make the website and the agency’s mobile app available to the public.
“We are always thrilled when our work with the state directly benefits Mississippians, keeping them safe and informed during emergencies,” Tyler Technologies general manager Tina Wells said. “This new website complements the MEMA app, ensuring our communities can access critical information quickly and easily.”
