MEMA is still assessing damage from a third bout of severe weather in Mississippi in as many weeks. Thankfully, there were no injuries in this latest round of storms on April 5th, but the National Weather Service has confirmed at least 5 tornadoes occurred, and more surveys are underway.
21 tornadoes have been confirmed from severe weather that occurred on March 30th. Six injuries were reported during those storms.

MEMA is requesting that FEMA conduct joint damage assessments for individual assistance for the March 22nd and March 30th severe weather events. At this time, federal assistance is not available.
