The Mega Millions jackpot has increased to an estimated $685 million, rising to take the place of the tenth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot in history.
As of now, the estimated cash value for a ticket with all five matching numbers and the Mega Ball is sitting at $347.8 million. On top of making history across the nation, the jackpot has been ranked the fourth-largest in Mega Millions history.
There have been 21 Mega Millions drawings since two players – one from Florida and one from California – won the $502 million jackpot on October 14. The winning numbers from the last drawing, which was on Tuesday, December 27, were 9-13-36-59-61 with a Mega Ball of 11.
During Tuesday’s drawing, five tickets nationally matched the first five numbers drawn, with one of the winning tickets being sold in Vancleave.

In total, Tuesday’s drawing produced 1,945,697 tickets winning non-jackpot prizes, including 44 winners of at least $10,000. Three of the 44 winners won $20,000 after purchasing the Megaplier option for an extra dollar.
“We’re happy to see so many players enjoying Mega Millions,” Mississippi Lottery President Jeff Hewitt said. “It gets exciting to see jackpots grow, but we always encourage people to play responsibly.”
As for Saturday, the Powerball drawing is now at an estimated $246 million, with a cash value of $128.5 million. The Jackpot for Saturday’s Mississippi Match 5 drawing is now at an estimated $165,000.
