Mega Millions jackpot rises to $1.05 billion for Tuesday’s drawing

Mega Millions mississippi

The Mega Millions jackpot has increased to over a billion dollars for the fifth time in game history after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Friday.

The winning numbers were white balls 5, 10, 28, 52, and 63, plus the gold Mega Ball 18.

Now, the grand prize is sitting at an estimated $1.05 billion with a cash value of $527.9 million for Tuesday night’s drawing. That prize would equal the fourth-largest Mega Millions jackpot to date.

So far, there have been 29 consecutive rolls for the current Mega Millions game without a winner, with one ticketholder in New York hitting the jackpot on April 18.

Lottery officials are reminding players to check their tickets as 3,157,597 tickets were named winners in eight other prize tiers in the July 28 drawing.

Of those, 586,903 included the optional Megaplier, which multiplies all standard non-jackpot prizes by a factor of two to five.

In the current Mega Millions matrix and Megaplier configuration — which has been in place since October 28, 2017 — there has never been a Megaplier of five drawn at this jackpot level.

Across the country, 92 tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win the third-tier prize.

Of those tickets, 14 are worth $50,000 each because they also included the optional Megaplier. The other 78 win the standard $10,000 each.

Since the last jackpot was won on April 18, there have been a total of more than 26.4 million winning tickets at all non-jackpot prize levels, ranging from $2 up to $5 million.

Mega Millions is the only lottery game that has awarded four jackpots exceeding $1 billion – one each in 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
