Update (3/2/19):

The boat ramp at Lake Lamar Bruce has reopened. The water level in the lake has returned to a safe level and all boating and fishing activity has resumed.

Lake Lamar Bruce is a 300-acre state fishing lake located near Saltillo, MS.

Original report (2/26/19):

Heavy rainfall in north Mississippi has raised the water levels at State Lakes Lamar Bruce, Elvis Presley and Charlie Capps several feet above normal.

At Lake Lamar Bruce and Elvis Presley Lake, the boat ramps, boat ramp courtesy piers and fishing piers are currently under water. The boat ramps have been closed to protect the public and lake infrastructure. Boat launching is prohibited until further notice.

At Charlie Capps, the water level has reached the top of the levees and vehicular traffic is prohibited until further notice.

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) expects to reopen the boat ramps and vehicular access when water levels have fallen and inspections have been made. Bank fishing is still allowed at all three facilities.
