McComb Man Sentenced to Life in the Murder of his Teen Lover’s Father

MCCOMB, Miss.- A McComb man that was having an affair with a 15-year-old boy will do life behind bars for stabbing the boy’s father in the neck, killing him.

The Enterprise Journal reports Pike County Circuit Judge David Strong sentenced 27-year-old Greg Fortenberry to life without parole in the death of the father of the teen Fortenberry and two other men were allegedly sexually involved with.

Fortenberry was sentenced Monday in the fatal stabbing of 53-year-old Kenneth Thompson in 2013.

Jasper Pittman, Lajerrious “Moo” Perkins and a 16-year-old will also go to trial in the slaying.

Prosecutors say there was a love affair among the four and they had a plot to kill Thompson to get $3,500 from his bank card.
