The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is looking into an officer-involved shooting that took place in Corinth.
On Saturday, deputies with the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call on County Road 575. Upon arrival, deputies encountered an armed subject, threatening to harm others and himself.
Shots were fired at the subject, whose identity has not yet been released, with the subject’s injury status unknown at this time. No deputies were injured during the incident.
Upon completing its investigation, MBI agents will turn over their findings to the attorney general’s office.
