Ford is recalling more than 700,000 vehicles over faulty backup cameras.
The recall includes 2020 F-Series trucks, Explorers, Mustangs, Transits, Expeditions, Escapes, Rangers, and the Edge. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says a poor electrical connection is causing the backup cameras to show distorted images or suddenly go dark.
Also included in the recall are the Lincoln Nautilus and Corsair.
The recall is expected to start November 7th and dealers will replace the rearview camera at no cost to owners.
Ford notes that you may be driving a Ford vehicle that is part of the nationwide Takata airbag recall. These airbags can explode in the event of a crash, spraying shrapnel that can injure or kill. Click here to check the VIN number of your vehicle to see if it is included in the recall.
