Man Who Threatened President Obama Found Hanging Dead in Jail Cell

KOSCIUSKO, Miss.- After David Williams was arrested on a federal probation warrant on Friday, a little over 24 hours later he was found dead in his jail cell in Attala County. Williams, 48, is known by many as the one who was sentenced back in 2011 to ten months in federal prison after he plead guilty on two different counts of making threats over the phone with University of Mississippi Medical Center officials because they refused to operate on his wife.

Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail says that they responded to a call on Saturday night about a disturbance.

“In the morning hours, about 3:40 a.m., Mr. Williams was found…” Nail said. “…Committed suicide in his cell, by hanging.”

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has joined in on the investigation, and an autopsy has been ordered.
