A man who barricaded himself inside an Olive Branch home is in custody.
Officers with the Olive Branch Police Department were dispatched to the home in the 5800 block of South Manor Cove on Monday around 9 a.m. after a reported domestic incident. When they arrived, contact was made with a male subject who barricaded himself inside an upstairs bedroom.
The Olive Branch SWAT team and the Southaven Police Department SWAT team worked to safely remove the subject from the home without injury or further incident.
“We express our appreciation to the Southaven Police Department for their assistance and are grateful for the way our departments throughout DeSoto County work together to provide a safe place to live, work, worship, and play,” a portion of a press release from the city of Olive Branch reads.
As of Tuesday morning, no further details or the name of the subject had been released.
