PANOLA COUNTY, Miss.- The man wanted for the 2014 burning death of Jessica Chambers is back in Mississippi.
27-year-old Quinton Tellis has been charged with capitol murder in the death of the 19-year-old and was returned to Mississippi on Thursday.
Tellis has been in Louisiana facing unrelated charges. Authorities say his return was faster than expected but they believe that outcome is due to his plea of guilty to the charges he faced in Louisiana.
He was charged with the unauthorized use of a debit card in Ouachita Parish. The card belonged to a woman from Monroe,Louisiana who was killed. Tellis was not charged with her death.
He is being held at the DeSoto County Jail and is expected to face arraignment for the charges in the Chambers case on July 5.
