A man has been killed after attempting to break into his ex-girlfriend’s home in the Mississippi Pine Belt.
Petal police report that the incident took place Friday morning just before 3:15 at a residence on West 10th Avenue. Law enforcement were notified by an unidentified woman that her ex-boyfriend was aggressively knocking on her door.
The ex-boyfriend proceeded to barge into the home and was promptly shot by another man inside the house. The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
No arrests have been made at this time. Police are continuing to investigate the fatal incident.
