JACKSON, Miss.- A man convicted of killing his wife and a man outside a motel was sentenced to 60 years in prison Tuesday.
Jessie Freeman was convicted in September of one count of manslaughter and one count of depraved heart murder.
In 2012 Freeman rammed his car into a truck his wife, Lenora Freeman, and Allen Ramsey were in, outside the Studio 6 Motel off I-55 in Jackson, prosecutors said.
After hitting the truck, Freeman then shot multiple times at the truck killing his wife and Ramsey.
Freeman was sentenced to 60 years by a Hinds County judge; he could have been sentenced to life.
