Man Responsible for JSU Housing is Out of a Job

JACKSON Miss. – Dr. Charles N. Smith is no longer with Jackson State University. Smith was responsible for the housing fiasco that left hundreds of students without housing.

Some students were put into hotels while others reported living out of their own car.

This year, JSU had a record enrollment of 1,500 students in its freshman class and is considering building a new dormitory next year.

The school has not released whether or not Smith resigned or was fired.
