One person is in custody after a police standoff in Jones County on Monday afternoon.
According to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect barricades himself inside a home in the 1900 block of State Route 29 North in the Pleasant Ridge community.
Law enforcement shut down Highway 29 North just south of the Highway 84 intersection due to the situation.
At this time, the identity of the man or what led up to the standoff has not been released. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
