RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. — A man hunt that started Wednesday afternoon in Rankin County is over. Daniel Ramirez-Correa and Victor Manuel Santacruz-Villanueva were pulled over by deputies on i20 between Morton and Pelahatchie.
Before officers could get their info, the two ran into the woods. One went south the other went north, leaving $600,000 dollars’ worth of cocaine and meth behind in their truck.
The two men were eventually picked up Thursday morning around 8:30. The men had previously been deported back to Mexico and were headed back to North Carolina. Deputies also arrested two others, a man and woman that will be charged with conspiracy to distribute the drugs.
