FULTON, Miss.- After a wreck last week that resulted in the death of a teenager, a man will face charges connecting to the fatal accident. 19-year-old Nettleton resident Dwight Phillips is going to be charged with DUI-Death. Itawamba county sheriff Chris Dickinson told WTVA that evidence shows Phillips was, in fact, impared when the accident happened.
The accident occurred on New Chapel road near Highway 371 on Tuesday, April 7th. As he was driving, he drifted off the road and hit a tree, killing his passenger, 17-year-old Aberdeen resident Alexis Haywood.
