MERIDIAN, MISS– You leave someone you love in a state hospital, so they can get the care they need. This is a case of trust violated. LaCarlos Presswood of Meridian is charged with raping someone in his care while working at East Mississippi State Hospital. That charge could get up to thirty years in the pen and a $10,000 fine.
Attorney General Jim Hood’s office says Presswood took advantage of a vulnerable person that was in his care. Presswood is in the Lauderdale County lockup waiting to see the judge again. He turned himself in.
