SOUTH MISSISSIPPI- One man is challenging Gov. Phil Bryant’s seat because he said he rights were directly violated by the governor’s decisions.
Ed Reich held a small press conference on Monday to state his intention in running for governor. He is demanding the resignation and arrest of Gov. Bryant because he believes he violated his oath and the 14th amendment.
“I’m calling for the immediate resignation of Gov. Bryant, who knowingly and willfully broke the law, which deprives us of life, liberty, and due process. I believe a warrant should be issued for Mr. Bryant for his crimes so he may experience due process first hand,” said Reich.
Reich previously ran for U.S. House of Representatives and the Jackson County Board of Supervisors in 2014 and 2015.

“Hello, and thank you for being here. My name is Ed Reich, and you should remember me from my campaigns for congress and Jackson County supervisor in 2014 and 2015.
I called you here today to announce my candidacy for Governor of the State of Mississippi, and the reason that I am running for this position. I am running for Governor to make sure that what is happening to me never happens to you.
I want the job to protect you, the people of Mississippi, from domestic enemies that operate under the guise of law.
For the last 3.5 years, I’ve worked diligently and diplomatically to find a solution. I ran for office twice.
There’s no legal course of action to remedy the violations of our rights. There is no court in which we can know the nature and cause of these abridgements and deprivations. There’s no evidence for us to examine and there is no accuser to face and question. There’s no one to talk to and no one in charge so, I’m here to say that I want the job.
For 3.5 years, I’ve lived in fear for my life, and deprived of my right to live in peace with dignity. Deprived of my right to live in a sovereign state and deprived of my right to due process. This should never happen to me, you, or anyone.
The 14th Amendment clearly states that no state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States, nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.
The State of Mississippi is in fact enforcing a law that has abridged my privileges, immunities, and my right to provide for my family in a manner that I see fit without due process of law.
I find this to be cruel and unusual punishment. I find this cruel and unusual punishment for a citizen in full compliance with the law. The state has not taken away my right to hold Federal office, State office, or County office.
This yellow sticky note is not due process. I’m here today demanding justice and reparations so that I may live, and my descendants may live in peace with dignity for the rest of our days.
I’m calling for the immediate resignation of Governor Bryant, who knowingly and willfully broke the law by enforcing an unconstitutional law that abridges our privileges and immunities, deprives us of life, liberty, and property without due process.
I believe a warrant for Mr. Bryant’s arrest should be issued for this crime and Mr. Bryant held without bond so that he may experience due process first hand and know exactly what we elected him to protect and who we elected him to serve.
I also charge Mr. Bryant with, but not limited to, knowingly and willfully obstructing justice, being derelict in his duties, entrapment, conspiring to entrap, gross misconduct, gross negligence, inciting violence, creating civil unrest, crimes against the Constitution, and I charge Mr. Bryant with violating his oath and the 14th Amendment.
I’m asking the Mississippi Secretary of State and Board of Elections to set up special elections immediately to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Bryant’s resignation and place my name on the ballot as an independent candidate for Governor.
Challengers are welcome, but I ask that no one challenge my candidacy and that we are unanimous in our voice through a unanimous vote to once again declare our right to govern ourselves. Unanimous in our vote to live free from a tyrant in a far-off land. Unanimous in our vote that we will not live in a comply or die police state without due process. Unanimous in our vote that we reserve all our rights and not just some.
I would actually consider a vote not cast for me a vote against our right to live in a sovereign state, a vote against our right of due process, and a vote to keep me, my family and the good people of Mississippi in Chains.
I’m here to tell you that I am a servant to no man, yet I wish to serve all of Mississippi. I am here today to demand liberty and justice for all, not just for those who can afford it or get elected.
President-elect Trump ran a great campaign and made some bigly promises to return the power to the people and rights to the states. I’m here to tell you that we do not need Mr. Trumps permission to be free to govern ourselves. We do not need Mr. Trumps permission to preserve the rule of law and due process. We already won that war.
I supported Mr. Trump’s campaign, and I voted for him but not for his promise to return power to the states and to the people. We already have that right.
I voted for Mr. Trump to protect us from foreign enemies. I voted for Mr. Trump to protect all 50 states from illegal immigration, bad trade deals, and foreign enemies that refuse to talk and wish for you and I to die or threaten our sovereignty.
I’m here today announcing my candidacy for Governor of the great State of Mississippi to protect the people of Mississippi from the domestic enemies that operate under the guise of law.”
