BILOXI, Miss.- A man was arrested for allegedly beating a dog.
Captain Harold Windom with the Biloxi Police Department confirmed that Billy Swain of Gulfport turned himself in for the crime on Tuesday morning.
Witnesses reported the abuse after a video was uploaded to Facebook that showed the alleged beating. The video was uploaded by Reaghan Swain, Billy’s daughter-in-law.
Swain was released from custody and faces a misdemeanor cruelty to animals. He appears in court in February 2017.
