BILOXI, Miss.- A man in Biloxi is being accused of shooting videos with a small body camera that involved an underage girl engaged in sexually-explicit activity. 42-year-old Ruben Masters was taken into custody on Monday on a federal charge of child exploitation. The Sun Herald reports that he was originally arrested on May 9th on a charge of touching a child for lustful purposes. That’s when the federal investigation by the Department of Homeland Security began.
In the first case on May 9th, Masters apparently approached a young girl from behind while she was laying on a bed, petting a cat, and started hugging and kissing her back. The complaint went on to describe him pulling her pants down and fondling her.
In a search of his home that followed shortly after, the authorities found a small digital body camera that they say Masters carried in his front pocket. The complaint mentions that Masters admitted to authorities that the camera included videos of the minor getting in and out of the shower, as well as other things. The minor also told authorities that she had seen the videos.
Masters also admitted to authorities that he uploaded the sexually-explicit videos to his computer computer at home. Authorities obtained a warrant and seized the electronic video files. An agent with Homeland Securities Investigations looked over the files and found videos of the girl performing sexually-explicit activities.
Masters appeared in court for the first time in front of U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Walker on Monday. He is being held in the Stone County jail without bond.
