Bond has been set for the Brookhaven man accused of killing a pregnant woman, her unborn baby, and her brother.
21-year-old Kelvin White was taken into custody following a shooting on Saturday, July 1 at the Brookwood Apartments on South Railroad Avenue.
According to Brookhaven Police Chief Kenneth Collins, police responded to the apartments after receiving reports of gunshots just before 11:00 p.m.
Officers found 30-year-old LaMarcus Rockingham and his sister, 28-year-old Shanecia Ferdinand dead at the scene. Ferdinand’s unborn baby was also killed during the incident. White fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Shortly after, White was arrested in Lincoln County and charged with two counts of capital murder and one count of first-degree murder. He was denied bond last week while being detained in the Lincoln County Jail.
On Wednesday, White’s charges were updated to three counts of first-degree murder with a bond of $500,000 for each murder charge.
