On Sunday afternoon, an arrest was made for Magee Mayor Dale Berry after his wife filed assault charges the day prior.
According to the Magee Police Department, officers responded to a call from the mayor’s residence Saturday morning, where Berry’s wife pressed charges and filed an affidavit. Berry was not present when the police arrived at the scene.
Now, Berry has turned himself in to Simpson County Sheriff’s Department for a misdemeanor charge of simple assault domestic.
