Students at a private school in Madison were placed on lockdown and forced to evacuate after an empty threat was made Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Madison Police Department, officers were on the scene at St. Joseph Catholic School around 3:15 p.m. after school personnel received threatening phone calls and enacted a precautionary lockdown.

“There are no credible threats to harm anyone at this time,” MPD said in a statement.
Students were moved off campus and reunited with their parents. The investigation into the matter continues.
