Update: Madison police find fleeing suspect

On April 2, 2018 at approximately 7:00 P.M., Terrence Remon Lawson was arrested on Livingston Road in Jackson, MS by members of the Madison Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Further investigation had revealed that Lawson was involved as the driver in another brief vehicle pursuit which had occurred in the City of Madison on 2/27/2018.

Lawson was returned to Madison where he was charged with receiving stolen property (felony), receiving stolen property (misdemeanor) and two counts of felony fleeing from a law enforcement officer.

He was transported to the Madison County Detention Center where he awaits the scheduling of his initial appearance in Madison Municipal Court.

The Madison Police Department needs your help looking for a fleeing suspect.

On March 15, 2018 at approximately 7:26 PM officers of the Madison Police Department attempted to stop a stolen vehicle (2015 Toyota Tacoma) on Highway 51 near Walgreens.

A brief vehicle pursuit occurred after which the vehicle stopped near a residence in the Cross Creek subdivision.

The driver of the vehicle fled on foot while the passenger was apprehended. The passenger, identified as Terrell Cotten, age 31 of Jackson, MS, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

After searching the surrounding areas officers were not able to locate the driver. Through further investigation officers and investigators identified the driver as Terrence Remon Lawson, age 22, of 328 Dobson Avenue in Canton, MS.

There is an active arrest warrant for Lawson for Receiving Stolen Property and Felony Fleeing. Investigators also determined today that Lawson’s last known whereabouts were confirmed to be in the City of Jackson after the incident.
