ALCORN COUNTY, Miss.–It was softball that brought Madison Hales home. She was spotted by another softball player’s parent at a softball game Tuesday evening and reunited with her parents. She had been missing since Sunday.
The 17-year-old left her home Sunday at 2:30 in the morning after having a spat with her parents. Her parents and the entire community had been on the lookout. WTVA-TV reports she showed up at the game in Iuka just before 7 p.m.
She was safe and healthy and her case was classified as a runaway. There was no word on where she had been staying for the past couple of days.
Her softball team held a prayer vigil Monday and team members pleaded with her to come home on TV.
