Just two days after the largest Powerball jackpot hit in Mississippi, another lucky player has amassed millions in winnings.
On Wednesday, a Powerball ticket purchased in Mendenhall won a lucky unidentified Mississippian a whopping $2 million.
This announcement comes on the heels of an anonymous Petal player striking gold, earning $10 million after matching all five Double Play white balls plus the Double Play Powerball during Monday night’s Powerball drawing.
The ticket purchased in Wednesday night’s drawing matched all five white ball numbers securing a $1 million win. Because the buyer added the $1 Power Play option – and the multiplier for the drawing was 2 – the prize doubled to $2 million.
