A Mississippi Pine Belt man is behind bars for allegedly possessing child pornography.
Brandon Creel, 32, was arrested on Thursday after law enforcement authorities executed a search warrant at a home on Duncan Street in Lucedale. After the home was searched, officials charged Creel with two counts of child pornography possession. The suspect is currently housed at the George County Regional Correctional Facility.

The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office is leading the investigation into the crimes reportedly committed by Creel.
“We greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in pursuing these cases and protecting the children of our community,” George County Sheriff Mitchell Mixon said. “Their commitment to justice ensures that those who exploit the most vulnerable among us are held accountable.”
Bond information for Creel has not yet been announced.
