In one of the most tumultuous sessions the Mississippi State Legislature has ever seen, lawmakers recently returned to the state capitol building once again.
This time, their goal was to approve the funding for the Department of Marine Resources (DMR), and that’s exactly what they did.
The compromised budget that will guarantee $10 million in immediate project funding was passed on Monday, and today, Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann joined The JT Show to talk about how legislators reached an agreement.
