Lowndes County woman arrested for murdering man on Facebook Live

A Lowndes County woman is accused of killing a man while being recorded on Facebook Live.

Deputies from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence call at 500 Green Tree Drive before 8 a.m.Saturday morning. Officers arrested 28-year-old Kadejah Michelle Brown, charging her with murder after a shooting during which one male victim was killed.

A 28-year-old unidentified male victim who lived in the residence passed away from a single gunshot wound. It appeared that Brown and the victim were involved in an argument that turned physical. The incident was captured on Facebook Live.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A handgun was recovered at the scene along with other physical evidence.

Brown was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center where she is being held awaiting her initial appearance.

“There was a history of domestic violence between Brown and the victim. This was a tragic and senseless murder and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the victim. Fortunately, Brown is in custody and we look forward to the criminal justice system holding her accountable.” Lowndes County Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said.

No bond has been set at this time. This incident remains under investigation.
