GULFPORT, Miss.–Your local Lowes may have been biled out of money when two people paid with phony $100 bills. Now the feds say two people have pleaded guilty and will likely spend time in the pen.
Brittany Ann Jackson, 26, is from Biloxi, and Dontrell Deshaun Sanford, 24, is from Hattiesburg, but the two took their crime spree to Lowes stores in Alabama, Florida and their home state.
They both pleaded guilty in federal court in Gulfport this week, said a news release from prosecutors.
Jackson pleaded guilty to passing counterfeit money and Sanford pleaded guilty to money laundering.
They’ll be sentenced Nov. 20. Jackson could get 5 years and a quarter million dollar fine, while Sanford could get as much as 20 years and a half million dollar fine.
