KOSCIUSKO, Miss.- Voters in Kosciusko will decide today if they want the sale of alcohol to be legalized.
Today’s date was chosen by the board of alderman during the April 21 board meeting after the board received a petition with over 900 signatures from residents in favor of allowing alcohol to be sold in the city limits.
Kosciusko and Attala County allow the sale of beer and light wine, but not hard liquor.
This will be the first liquor referendum in Kosciusko since 1983.
