CLINTON, Miss. – You can now have that second sip of wine on the Sabbath.
The city of Clinton recently received approval from the Department of Revenue for Restaurants to sell spirits, on Sunday.
The hope is that local restaurants will see a boost in revenue and that customers won’t be tempted to go to other cities like Jackson, to get their alcohol fix.
In July, restaurants were allowed to sell beer and lite wine.
