For 64 years, the city of Meridian has celebrated her native son Jimmie Rodgers with a two day festival showcasing the music and the contribution Rodgers made to country music.
This year is no exception, with the lineup having been announced for the May 5-6 event:

- Hayes Carll
- Chris Knight
- Lydia Loveless
- Charlie Worsham
- Cary Hudson
The 2017 Jimmie Rodgers Talent Competition Winners will also perform.
The “Father of Country Music,” as he’s hailed, celebrated popular songs such as “Waiting for a Train” and “Blue Yodel.”
