Representative Joel Bomgar said that the state legislature is saving the taxpayers money.
On Thursday, March 15th, the Mississippi Senate and House of Representatives adjourned for the week, cutting another day from the session in an effort to save over $30,000.
“By meeting for fewer days, the House and Senate can save the state money and also offset any costs incurred by special sessions that may need to be called later in the year,” Bomgar said.
