Lawmakers respond to reopening of Clinton email investigation

JACKSON, MISS– The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has reopened the case regarding Democratic presidential candidate and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Fox News reported  that a letter from FBI Director James Comey to the Senate Judiciary Committee stated that an unrelated investigation has led to the investigation into Clinton’s email server being reopened.

The unrelated investigation was that of former Representative Anthony Weiner’s texts to a 15 year-old girl, Fox News confirmed.

Here’s the letter from Comey to the committee.

Governor Bryant questioned how Democrats could continue to support Clinton, and said they should have to address that support publicly.

Democratic representative Michael Evans said he does not believe the reopening of the investigation will do anything to sway voters.

“I think most voters on both sides of the aisles have already made up their mind on how they’re going to vote,” said Evans. “It may have changed opinion of a few people, but not too many.”
