Local and federal law enforcement are asking for information about the man behind the mass shooting that occurred during Black Spring Break on the Mississippi Gulf Coast last month.
The U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Biloxi Police Department have announced that they are offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect, who has been identified as Dontavis Magee.
According to police, Magee is believed to be behind the April 16 incident where five people — including a Biloxi police officer — were shot. The shooting took place around 5:30 p.m. on Highway 90 near Motel 6 in Biloxi.
All five victims have been treated and are expected to make a full recovery.
Anyone with information on Magee’s current location is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-877-WANTED-2. Tips may also be submitted through the USMS Tips App.
Anonymity is guaranteed and information will be taken in strict confidence.
