BILOXI, Miss.- Keesler’s famous air show that draws in huge crowds has rescheduled for March.
The Keesler Air Force Base announced Wednesday the 2015 air show and open house has been rescheduled for the weekend of March 28-29. The event was previously scheduled for April 11-12.
The show will return to Mississippi after four years. They were stopped in 2011 due to federal budget cuts, but Keesler spokesperson Jerry Taranto said restrictions are being loosened.
The last two shows were in 2009 and 2011 bringing in crowds of 142,000 and 160,000 people to the base.
Taranto said when the opportunity presented itself, the base jumped at the chance to bring the shows back to Mississippi.
