LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss.–The rape of a preteen girl is why Rodney Johnson, 46, of Lauderdale County was arrested this week. Police said it’s evidence processed by the state crime lab that points to him.
The girl’s mom made the complaint back in May, said Lauderdale County Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun. He told media that after that they collected evidence and sent it off to the crime lab.
Since then the evidence has come back and Wednesday they made the arrest.
Johnson was charged with two counts of statutory rape and one count of forcible rape.
His bond was set at $150,000.
