PEARL, Miss.–Having child pornography on his computer could land Willard Geven Knight of Pearl a 40-year prison sentence. He was arrested Tuesday, said Atty. Gen. Jim Hood.
Knight was picked by by investigators with the Attorney General’s Cyber Crimes Unit and the Rankin County Sheriff’s Dept. He’s charged with child exploitation.
Hood said the arrest was made through the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
That task force has sophisticated equipment which can detect people who are downloading child pornography, especially people who are using file sharing software to do it. Hood has said he plans to go after every single person who is engaged in that kind of activity.
