A juvenile has been locked up for an early Tuesday morning shooting that left two teenagers deceased in central Mississippi.
The Brandon Police Department reports that the unidentified suspect opened fire around 2 a.m. in the area of Mary Myles Drive and Mary Crain Circle, and killed two individuals.
Authorities have since identified the shooting victims as 18-year-old Montrell Briggs and 18-year-old JaMarques Patterson. One of the teens was reportedly discovered dead inside of a vehicle at the scene while the other was found deceased outside of the car.
The shooter is facing charges for two counts of murder, felony aggravated assault, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
An ongoing investigation into the incident is underway. A motive for the killings has not yet been released at this time.
