In January, Jackson Public Schools missed seven days of school due to freezing temperatures that caused water main breaks around the city. The Jackson Public School Board of Trustees voted on and approved a plan for students to make up those missed days.
Students will be in school on March 30 and April 2, days they originally had off for Easter, and on February 19, a day they originally had off for parent-teacher conference day.
In addition to the full days made up, school days will be extended for one hour on February 12- April 12.

While Jackson schools have to make up for several missed days, Clinton only has to make up one of their three missed days. They will not have to make up the days missed on January 16 and 17, because of a state of emergency declared by the Governor, but they will have to make up for missing December 8. Students will make this up on April 2, the day after Easter.
